Ron is the founder of the Miami Valley Warhawks Baseball Club, Inc.
and the current manager of the Ohio Warhawks. Under Slush's direction the
MVBC has become very instrumental in the development of youth baseball in
the Miami Valley. Currently the MVBC sponsors 25 youth teams in various
associations across the Dayton-Springfield area. The MVBC has also been directly
involved with the SYBA for the last seven years. Since their involvement,
with the SYBA, began participation has gone from 120 kids to over 480. The
MVBC has also won 8 National Championships and had 9 National Runner-up
teams since
1992.
The Ohio Warhawks are the main team of the MVBC. The Ohio Warhawks
under Slush's guidance has become a national power in the amateur baseball
world. The Warhawks have won 6 National Championships, an routinely
play in the top tournaments in the country. The Hawks have had 20 players
play Major League Baseball, with several more at the door step.
Ron, who resides in Fairborn, Ohio, has been married Donna for 36
years, they have one daughter Rhonda.
